After high school I started working as an art department assistant of an advertising agency, 2 years later I became head of art department; at nights I went to study Fine Arts at UCR, 2 months later I went off because I had a faster process. At the age of 27 I became independent and established an advertising design studio and started to study realistic painting with Gonzalo Morales son for several months, in 1979I participate in the Central America and Panama XEROX biennial and I won the first prize of $ 3,500. I spend that money travelling around galleries and museums in New York, Madrid, Barcelona and Paris. When I came back I took some time to paint and media marketing.
Since I wasn't in any group I was force to look for galleries outside Costa Rica, where I was accepted for the homogeneity and quality of my work, that allow me to quit the media studio and life proudly and with some distinguish since I was 35 to the date.
